Community Art & Photography — Seeing with a Bioregional Mind

Farmers Market Outreach

Event Details

This project meets people where they already are.

At Skagit Valley farmers markets, Regenerate Skagit invites people of all ages to pause, notice, and create together. Through simple, hands-on art and photography, we explore what it means to see the Skagit bioregion not as a backdrop, but as a living presence we are part of.

Participants are invited to create with hand-made stamps of local plants, animals, and landforms. Photography is woven in as a parallel practice, with weekly themes that invite different perspectives on water, soil, movement, memory, and seasonal change.

There is also space for words. Short stories, reflections, and recorded memories rooted in relationship with place are welcomed.

This is a low-barrier, playful invitation into bioregional awareness. No artistic experience is required.
